Antoine de Galbert’s Biography

Antoine de Galbert is an art collector and founder of the Galerie du Passage in Paris. He has a passion for contemporary art, including photography, sculpture and painting.

Antoine de Galbert began collecting art when he was just 19 years old and now owns one of the most important collections in France. He is well-known for his support of emerging artists and his willingness to buy works from both emerging and established artists at auction or from galleries.

In addition to being an avid collector, Antoine de Galbert is also an avid philanthropist. He has donated millions of dollars' worth of artwork to museums around the world—including the Pompidou Center in Paris—and has been awarded many honors for his philanthropy.

In 2018, Antoine de Galbert opened a gallery in Paris called Galerie du Passage where he will showcase some of his own collection as well as work by other artists that he believes deserve attention but may not have been given the recognition they deserve yet.
